On September 8, 2025, a 32-year-old woman fell victim to a scam after falling for a fake email from a supposed sales prospect. The message asked her to use a button to go to a chat window where she could communicate with a supposed employee.
During this exchange, the employee asked the woman to confirm several transactions to her bank account to verify the sale. The woman completed a total of four confirmations before a low four-figure amount was withdrawn from her account. The incident was immediately reported to the police, who are now launching further investigations.
