Reinickendorf Mayor celebrates Rosch Hashana and sends peace message to Kiryat Ata
On the occasion of the Jewish New Year's festival, the district mayor Reinickendorf, Emine Demirbüken-Wegner, warmly congratulates all fellow citizens of Jewish faith. The festival, also known as Rosch Hashana, is celebrated this year from October 2 to 4. The Reinickendorfer town hall on the Eichborndamm has set up a banner in the foyer for this occasion to draw attention to the festival.
In her congratulations, the district mayor also expressed her concern about the current developments in the Middle East and emphasized the urgency of peace in the region. She hopes that people in Israel and especially in the twin city of Kiryat Ata can look into a safe and stable future.The words of Emine Demirbüken-Wegner testify to solidarity and connectedness with the Jewish community in Reinickendorf and beyond. The New Year is not only a time of the celebrations, but also an opportunity to remember the importance of peace and cohesion.
