In a shocking process that began on Tuesday in front of the Berlin district court, two alleged perpetrators are in court for attempted murder and heavy robbery. Around five months after the almost fatal shots on an 80-year-old in his own apartment, the cruel deed that the city shook. A 31-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, both Portuguese citizens, were charged because they entered the victim's apartment on May 31 and added serious injuries to him with several shots.

The public prosecutor reports that the accused came into the senior's apartment under an excuse, which they had known for a long time. The 31-year-old had even taken over translation services for the 80-year-old. After the brutal robbery, they robbed cash in a height of at least four -digit amounts and caused the victim to be seriously injured. But the senior proved remarkable strength: after regaining consciousness, he was able to make an emergency call with the last strength.

The alleged perpetrators were caught only a week after the terrible act. The process, which is scheduled until December 6th, has so far comprised nine days of negotiation.
