Reopening of the libraries: Celebration with magic show and music!
Rüdesheimer Straße 14, 12345 Ort, Deutschland - The Eberhard Alexander Burgh Library and the Halemweg district library in Berlin celebrate a terrific comeback on Monday, November 4, 2024! From 12 noon to 6 p.m., visitors can expect an exciting program with magic shows, rousing music and creative craft workshops. District City Councilor Heike Schmitt-Melz will personally be present at the reopening-at 1 p.m. in the Eberhard Alexander Burgh library and at 2 p.m. in the Halemweg district library.
After a challenging period of the lack of personnel, which has led to significant restrictions at the library service, both locations will return to regular opening hours from Friday, November 1, 2024. The Eberhard Alexander Burgh library at Rüdesheimer Straße 14 will open on Mondays and Thursdays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Halemweg district library at Halemweg 18 is also open to the reading lovers from Mondays and Tuesdays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Special opening times and events
Week after week, the libraries also tempt you on all Saturdays from November 2, 2024 to December 14, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with full service when specialist staff is on site. The service will be restricted on further Saturdays because specialists are dispensed with. Two selected Saturdays will be up to special events! All details and the exact program can be found on the libraries website.
"Today we are not only happy about the reopening, but above all about the return of life and joy to our libraries," explains district councilor Heike Schmitt-Melz with enthusiasm. "We thank everyone for their patience in this difficult phase and cordially invite everyone to become part of our colorful celebration!"
