"A loaf of bread regularly costs around six euros, but in our bags it is a real bargain," continued Heiden. Heiden, a former engineer, took the step into self -employment in 2023 to open a business in his neighborhood. "We wanted to create something unique that did not exist here yet," he says. His shop is not an ordinary supermarket: Here, customers fill their desired products themselves into containers they have brought with them. Throwing away is an absolute no-go for Heiden. Instead, he places the food online every Saturday that can no longer be sold. "The things are gone in 95 percent of cases," says the entrepreneur.

The customers are thrilled! Caro, a satisfied buyer, uses the app to cook creatively and try new ingredients. "I love to discover new territory," she says.
