Change in labor market: Berlin loses jobs, Brandenburg wins!
Unemployment in Berlin is easy to rise, while Brandenburg has a small progress. In October, the unemployment rate in Brandenburg fell by 0.1 percentage points to a good 6 percent. In contrast, the number of unemployed in Berlin rose: Around 860 additional unemployed were registered compared to September, which leaves the quota stable at 9.8 percent!

A total of 207,245 people in the capital are now without employment, while Brandenburg is 81,824 unemployed. For the same period in the previous year, the numbers were terrifyingly higher: last year the unemployment rate in Berlin was still 9.3 percent, 6.2 percent in Brandenburg. What a drastic change!
Ramona Schröder from the regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency shows that the labor market in the Berlin-Brandenburg region is anything but dynamic. While Brandenburg is on average, the hoped -for seasonal revival in the service -strong capital is missing. This is an alarming sign for everyone who is looking for a job!
job offers defy the crisis
Despite the weak economic situation, companies in Berlin and Brandenburg announce that they are looking for employees across industries! Around 23,000 jobs in the social insurance system are vacant in Brandenburg, while around 22,000 jobs are waiting for applicants in Berlin. The unemployment rate is therefore not synonymous with a lack of possibilities - a fact that courage in this tense time!
