Additional budget for Chieming-Grabenstätt: 1.14 million euros required!

In a dramatic step, the municipalities of Chieming and Grabenstätt have decided in their latest school association assembly for 2024. The reason? The delayed payment of funding for the comprehensive renovation of the elementary and middle school Chieming, which cost a whopping 13 million euros! Mayor Stefan Reichelt von Chieming and Gerhard Wirnshofer von Grabenstätt were present at this decisive meeting, which took place in the guest's house.

The renovation work, which was carried out from 2021 to 2023, has been completed, but financial support is long for itself. Only a partial payment of the funding amount is expected in the current year, while the final payment payment will only be promised for 2025. In order to close the financial gap, borrowing of 1.14 million euros is required. The meeting unanimously decided that a total of 897,000 euros must be made available for investments and funding measures. This budget statute comes into force retrospectively on January 1, 2024

The meeting also noted the annual accounts for 2023, which concluded with income and expenditure of around 1.24 million euros in the administrative budget and around 4.21 million euros in the asset budget. A unanimous relief for the financial year 2023 was granted. Mayor Reichelt also informed about the budget assessment of the government of Upper Bavaria for the open all -day school, which will be provided from October 21, 2024 of around 148,000 euros. The school association will also bear the costs for the operation of the open all -day school to maintain the childcare offer.
