A little competition with a big heart! Aschenau and Lalling shone in the coveted competition "Our village has a future" and each won the silver medal. These triumphant moments were celebrated yesterday at a festive event in Oberaltaich. The robust of around 300 inhabitants from Aschenau, under the direction of Mayor Hans-Jürgen Fischer, did not miss this moment. They were overjoyed onto the stage when the laudation was announced by moderator Traudi Sieferlinger! A village awareness that touches the hearts!

In the celebrated ashes, the citizens not only experience together, but also energy! 300 euros from the award ceremony flow directly into the greening of the center of the village - a truly green thumb! "Ned only Seng", as Sieferlinger humorously noticed, hits the nail on the head here. It is the passionate community that manages to form a lively community center from the old school building. Tradition is revived here! In contrast, Lalling, the second -placed silver community from the Deggendorf district, convinces with its magnificent orchards and a fantastic presentation by Mayor Michael Reitberger and former mayor Josef Streicher.

Lalling not only impresses with around 1600 inhabitants, but also with a flourishing flora! The impressive flowering areas were the highlight in the jury presentation. Siferlinger praised the commitment of the association for the care of 9,000 fruit trees, which demands everything from the orchard staff. The result: a true natural paradise! Reitberger proudly reports that the 300 euros have already been invested from the price. Thumbs up for the villages that celebrate their roots and at the same time act sustainable!

This award ceremony was not only an award, but also a strong sign of the true meaning of the village community. Government representatives and numerous guests of honor were present to honor the benefits of the participants. Passionate appearances of music ensemble and dance groups rounded off the evening and made this day unforgettable. The "Haslbecka" musicians created an additional mood, while the "real Haslbecka" claimed their place in the heart of this festive community. An event that keeps the soul of the villages alive!
