Schweinfurt: In an exciting event that aimed to protect older people from fraud, around 200 senior citizens came to the Sparkasse's event center. Under the title "Safe Payment in Old Age - Protection against Seniors", the participants not only achieved valuable information, but also a significant exchange about current security issues that are becoming increasingly important in the digital world.

The board of the Sparkasse, Roberto Nernosi, opened the event with a warm welcome and a clear appeal: "It is gratifying that so many senior citizens are here to find out more. At the same time, it is unfortunate that we have to offer such an educational event at all." Nernosi emphasized the responsibility of the Sparkasse to provide its customers preventively by digital security risks.

The expert Martina Kronenberger from the S-Finanzgruppe provided a deep insight into different payment methods. She explained the challenges and advantages of online payments and mobile banking and gave practical tips to protect itself from the perfidious fraud stitches. Police commissioner Michael Beetz represented the police and informed in a humorous way about common fraud, from shock calls to grandchildren. His message was clear: distrust is the best protection! "Don't be put under pressure," advised Beetz and also shared useful safety instructions for everyday life.

After the exciting lectures, the possibility was used for discussion, with numerous questions being asked by the participants. Those present went enriched and with an increased awareness of their security, thanks to the valuable advice that helps them to move safer in the modern world.
