With the European innovation partnership "Productivity and Sustainability in Agriculture" (EIP-Agriculture), groundbreaking projects have been promoted since 2018 that bring a breath of fresh air to the industry. A Highlight is the autonomous vehicle "Smart Potato Selection", which recognizes and removes sick potato plants with artificial intelligence. The “Geoforstigital” project also revolutionizes forestry by making it easier for forest owners to access digital geodata. So the sustainable management of forests becomes child's play!

The list of funded projects is impressive! The “sewage carb fertilizer” project uses modern technologies to neutralize pollutants in sewage sludge and to gain vital phosphate for agriculture. These innovative approaches aim to optimize agricultural and forestry processes and implement economical solutions. From animal welfare monitoring to the use of rainwater from PV systems-the future of agriculture is made sustainable!

With a budget of ten million euros in the current funding period of the joint agricultural policy (GAP), the initiative EIP-AGRI shows that Bavaria is willing to invest in the future.
