A brazen diesel theft is now employed by the police in Neukirchen near Sulzbach-Rosenberg! In the night of Tuesday, a Czech truck driver became the victim of unscrupulous thieves when he slept on a rest area on the B14. The driver parked his truck the evening before at 5:30 p.m., but had no idea that he would be hit by crooks that night. The next morning, after a control course around his vehicle, he recognized the alarming diesel traces on the right diesel tank and was immediately alert. A look at the fuel display exposed the frightening extent of the theft - about 600 liters of diesel had disappeared without a trace! The thieves had to have struck in the late night hours or early morning hours and only left their brazen traces.

The Sulzbach-Rosenberg police inspection has already started the investigation. She appeals to the population: Anyone who has observed something suspicious on the night should immediately contact the police on 09661/87440. Suspicious people or vehicles could be the key to hold the brazen crooks and prevent other thefts.
