40 years of brass: Festival service in St. Marien enthusiastic!

On Sunday, October 20, a very special service takes place in the parish church of St. Marien Sulzbach-Rosenberg. The reason for this is the 40th anniversary of the parish group's brass group, which has been with passion and commitment since its foundation in 1984. The focus is on church music, which is presented by the brass in close cooperation with the church choir.

Maria Boßle, the founder of the ensemble, has trained many musicians over the years, some of whom have now worked as school musicians or instrument teachers. These musicians not only pass on their knowledge, but also the joy of wind music to the next generation. The top goal of the ensemble is to put the enthusiasm for music and making music together - a mission that still actively supports numerous founding members.

The beginnings of the group are characterized by continuous rehearsal work, which has brought you numerous awards and prizes. Over the years, the brass not only impressed not only on national, but also on international stages. They led the highlights of their travels to France, Scotland and Italy, where they presented the sounds of their wind music in beautiful churches and on festive occasions.

These musical appearances give the services and church events in the parish and far beyond a festive splendor. Since the beginning, the brasses have maintained a particularly harmonious coexistence with the trombone choirs of the Christuskirche and St. Johannis. Friendships have also arisen here, which express themselves in mutual support in musical work.

The close connection between the members is also shown by the fact that some of the wind players are active in the mountain knapps chapel. The brass of the St. Marien parish has remained loyal to their founder for many years. Even today they still drive many kilometers to volunteer their artistic skills for church music.
