Honoring the pioneers
In a moving speech, BRK President Angelika Schorer paid homage to the honorees and emphasized that their decades of tireless commitment would now be recognized in the form of honors. “Their commitment is the flagship of our Bavarian Red Cross,” she said, explaining that they are shining examples of courage and role models for future generations.
Dieter Hauenstein, the state preparedness manager from Regensburg, also had words of praise for the distinguished members. "True enablers with a wide range of qualifications are involved in the BRK standbys. Whether they are technicians, supervisors or in psychosocial emergency care - complex and comprehensive training makes them experts in their field," says Hauenstein.
