Christian Jürgens: Scandalkoch starts a new path at Dinzler!

Christian Jürgens has ended his work at the Dinzler coffee roasting company in Irschenberg. This was announced on January 12, 2025. The collaboration ended as planned at the end of December 2024. Company spokeswoman Katrin Richter confirmed this termination of the six-month collaboration. Jürgens brought in his gastronomic expertise and experience as a top chef to optimize internal processes and the offering at Dinzler.

He praised the “entrepreneurial foresight” and “visionary thinking” of the Richter family. During his time, Jürgens analyzed the current situation and developed solutions to optimize the company. He also asked for forgiveness for past mistakes and took responsibility for them.

Accusations and professional reorientation

Before working at Dinzler, Christian Jürgens was head chef at the Seehotel Überfahrt in Rottach-Egern from 2008 to 2023. Due to serious allegations, including harassment of employees, he was separated. The public prosecutor's investigation was ultimately discontinued. Jürgens plans to oversee selected culinary projects in the future, including product development, consulting and four-hand dinners. His involvement with Dinzler represents a new professional challenge after previously withdrawing from public life.

As the Falstaff website reports, Jürgens was immediately fired by the Althoff hotel owner group after the allegations. In May 2023, allegations against him emerged that included sexual harassment, bullying and racist insults. The public prosecutor's office stopped the preliminary investigation in November 2023 because there was no sufficient evidence of criminal activity. Jürgens then pursued new professional opportunities and eventually became the new gastronomic director at Dinzler. He will also be involved in personnel issues and will be named as a contact person in job advertisements.

In addition to his role at Dinzler, Jürgens also continued to be active in the kitchen, including as head chef in the VIP area of the Adele concerts in Munich and as a special guest at the White Night Kitchen Party at the Vitznauerhof in Switzerland.
