65 years young: anniversary trip of the year 1959 to Bavaria!

Spaichingen - an unforgettable adventure for the 1959 vintage! On the occasion of their 65 anniversary, the jubilant participants broke up for a spectacular 3-day trip to Bavaria, with the glamorous destination Regensburg. In slightly cool weather, the coach started an exciting trip that started with a hearty breakfast with a sparkling wine and pretzels!

The first stop was Kelheim, where the group enjoyed a breathtaking shipping through the Danube breakthrough, which she led directly to the picturesque Weltenburg monastery. There was a delicious lunch in the monastery beer garden. After the return trip by ship, a tour of the imposing "liberation hall" followed and then the arrival in Regensburg, where the hotel rooms were moved into. The first evening was celebrated with a visit to the old town and a sociable end to the hotel bar.

The second day offered an exciting bus ride to the Walhalla in Donaustauf, followed by a captivating city tour through the old town of Regensburg, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here the year could enjoy a dinner together near the impressive cathedral before going back to the hotel.

On the last day it was time to pack suitcases and after an extensive breakfast the trip went to Augsburg. In bright weather, the historical “fugerei” was visited and a city tour followed. After a last meal together in the Löwen inn in Wurmlingen, in which the participants exchanged their experiences, they returned safely to Spaichingen - full of memories of a varied and happy excursion!
