Kaufbeuren, Deutschland - The Berlin Shakespeare Company will present the play “Two men from Verona” by William Shakespeare in the Kaufbeuren Stadttheater on January 16, 2025. In "Two gentlemen from Verona", the audience follow the adventures of Valentin and Proteus, two youth friends who are separated by different ways of life. Valentin is looking for his luck at the Duke of Milan's courtyard, while Proteus stays in her home country because of his love for Julia. The course of the story changes dramatically when Proteus is also sent to the courtyard and sparked a competition for the favor of Silvia, the duke's daughter. Intrigen, deception and the disguised Julia ensure a turbulent showdown.
