Kaufbeuren sets a sign: New Bank against racism inaugurated!
In Kaufbeuren, a strong sign is set against racism! Mayor Stefan Bosse ceremoniously inaugurated a bank with the haunting message "No place for racism". This bank is located at the busy intersection on Graben/Schraderstraße, directly near the war memorial, the city library and two schools. A strategic place that attracts many young people and can thus spread the important message.
"It is very important to me that we live well in this city and there is simply no space for racism," emphasized Bosse during the inauguration. These words underline the determination of the city to create an environment in which the focus is on diversity and respect. The idea for the bank originally came from Brandenburg, where a friend of the mayor had sent a photo of a similar bank. Bosse was immediately enthusiastic and saw the need to set such a sign in Kaufbeuren.
Financing through “Living Democracy”
The bank's financing was carried out by the “Living Democracy” project, which is committed to strong and democratic coexistence. This initiative shows that Kaufbeuren not only speaks words, but also takes action. A clear signal is sent with this bank: racism has no place in this city!
