Wonderful creative projects: Students protect birds from glass collisions!

The students of the special education center in Pulling started a moving initiative to protect birds from terrible death at the glass facades of their school. In recent years, the children have repeatedly discovered the tragic consequences of bird strokes, which led to great suffering. But now, thanks to their creative solutions and working with the local authorities, there is hope for the feathered friends!

In a remarkable campaign, over 200 square meters of special bird protection film were attached to the school windows. This innovative film, which is provided with parallel point series, offers an impressive 95 percent effectiveness against collisions. Peter vocalists from LBV emphasized that in Germany over 100 million birds die from windows because they cannot see the glass. Thanks to the engagement of the students, the school now not only shines in new splendor, but also protects the surrounding birds.

creative solutions from the student workshop

The students in class 4b made themselves during the school year and made mobile from old milk boxes, CDs and cords to deter the birds in dangerous aircraft. This creative solution shows how much passion is in this project. When handing over the certificate for their exemplary commitment, vocalists told enthusiastically about the submitted student reports about the dead birds and the recording of these incidents, which were actively communicated to the nature conservation organization.

Your efforts did not remain unnoticed! The students were not only honored for this, but were also allowed to attach stickers that certify "safe for birds" - an important message that is emblazoned on the windows both inside and outside. In this way, awareness of bird protection right in front of the children and visitors is visible - an urgent call to stand up for the animal roommates!
