Festival of languages: Freising students celebrate variety with pumpkins!

A festival full of colors, cultures and languages! With its “Festival of Languages and Cultures”, the Dom-Gymnasium in Freising once again celebrated diversity and inspired the visitors. Headmaster Manfred Röder said: "We should appreciate this diversity, so today we have organized our own festival." Over 100 interested people flocked to this lively event, which came up with twelve stations, over 20 teachers and creative activities. The colorful offers, from handicrafts to culinary delights, provided an extraordinary atmosphere and offered insights into different cultures.

The students of the high school were in top form! Among other things, the young people plunged into the art of pumpkin carving and tinkering with Pinatas. "We left the wallpaper paste smoothly," said Angela Eisenberger, who looked after the station that attracted a particularly large number of fans. Laura, one year old, explained with passion, which belongs to a real pinata: "Lollis, gummy bears and of course a lot of chocolate!" The next event is already expected with great anticipation when the homemade Pinata is taken at the birthday party.

sport and literature - a festival for all senses

Sporty things were in the gym! The Freising Grizzlies gave visitors an introduction to baseball, while the Dom Dancers delighted the audience with rousing choreographies. The “Freisinger Literaturpotpourri” offered a journey through the works of local writers for the bookworm, while Bavarian treats at the buffet took care of the physical well -being. Headmaster Röder, a fan of South Tyrolean Gröstl, also had a special highlight for himself: "Latin, no question!" He announced with a smile on his face, while the spectators learned more about the variety of languages and the associated cultures.
