On January 5, 2025, a resident in the north of Erlangen was woken up in the early morning hours by a thud. A motor vehicle was unable to come to a stop in time on the snow-covered road at an intersection. As a result, the vehicle drove over a traffic island and damaged a traffic sign before colliding with the facade of a house there.
