Peiting sweeps Deggendorf 6-2 off the ice - self -confidence for Tölz!
A spectacle of the extra class experienced the fans at the meeting between the EC Peiting and the Deggendorfer SC! With an overwhelming 6-2 victory, the team of Coach John Sicinski swept the league leader from the hall and caused cheering storms. Felix Brassard was the superstar of the evening and scored three goals, while the entire team showed an impressive performance. "That was a great team performance," beamed Sicinski after the game.
The EC Peiting started the game furiously and gave the guests from Deggendorf no chance. Brassard scored the first goal in the second minute, followed by another goal by Simon Mayr in PowerPlay. With a 3-0 lead after the first third, the foundation stone was laid for victory. "We have never had a 3-0 lead in the first third at home this season," said Sicinski about the perfect start. In the second third, Peiting stayed on the trigger and increased to 4: 0, while Deggendorf put pressure on it, but failed due to ECP goalie Konrad Fiedler.
dominance and efficiency
The Dominance of the Peitinger was unmistakable. While Deggendorf tried to pull the helm around, Peiting countered ice cold. Brassard surprised the guest goalkeeper with a brilliant return shot to 5: 0. Even when Deggendorf scored a goal shortly before the end, Peiting did not let himself be disturbed. Sam Payeur restored the old distance and ensured the final score of 6: 2. "Now we have to build on this performance in Bad Tölz," said Sicinski before the next game against the Tölzer Löwen.
With this impressive victory, EC Peiting not only fueled confidence, but also set a clear sign in the Oberliga. The fans can look forward to more exciting games!
