Economic development in the Dachau district: bundling in sight?
Economic development in the Dachau district: bundling in sight?
In the Dachau district, it is bubbling! The district office has examined the possibilities to merge the municipalities' business promotions and now presented the first results. But the excitement is great because the examination has delayed it! The reason for this: The administration has greatly stressed the processing of instant aid for floods. District Administrator Stefan Löwl (CSU) reports of the difficulties that the actors concerned had when querying their expectations.
The business development agency Katja Deml has summarized the explosive results: commercial associations are under pressure! The most pressing topics are inventory care, securing skilled workers and career orientation. The actors want clear information about funding opportunities and better networking. But that's not all! Tourism is also to be promoted, but the district administration currently does not have the necessary capacities to do this. A real dilemma!
challenges of bundling
The challenges of possible bundling are enormous! Deml warns of increased personnel requirements and the costs of developing a sustainable concept. The restructuring is intended to strengthen the regional economy, but everyone involved must pull together and put their individual interests back. District Administrator Löwl remains vague: a purely official approach or a networked one in which actors have to participate financially is up for debate. But reality is tough: "Nobody currently has money," says Löwl. The decision as to whether the district will take over the economic development for the municipalities remains in the floating. The district committee of the next legislative period will probably only bring clarity!
