The 42-year-old Bertelshofer has a long and successful career within the hospital foundation. Born in Kemnath in 1982, he has been working for the foundation in various functions since 2005. His career picked up speed when he was appointed deputy managing director in June 2011. Already 2013 he took over the management of illness for one year and was then promoted to the institutional manager of the hospital monastery in 2016. Through further training as a responsible nurse/facility management, he was able to further expand his skills. In addition, from December 2020 to May 2022, Bertelshofer was active in the civil protection management group of the city of Bayreuth, where he acted as head of care.
