Refugee rush in the district: new accommodations for hundreds planned!
Landkreis Weilheim-Schongau, Deutschland - Vertebra in Bavaria: The district of Weilheim-Schongau is faced with an incessant migrant current! New accommodations have to be stamped out of the ground almost every day to keep the pressure. Each community fights to create enough space for asylum seekers, including numerous refugees from Ukraine. The place is head!
The Merkur newspaper reveals: New asylum seekers arrive every two weeks, which drives the construction projects up. Altenstadt packs 27 people in two rented apartments, while in Antdorf next to the thermal hall a new building for 32 residents is being checked for 50 people. Bernbeuren converts the Gasthof Schnitzer into an emergency accommodation for 40 people and is planning further expansion in the Filser inn.

Böbing builds a module building for 32 refugees, and in Eberfing 15 migrants find refuge on a former farm. In Habach, accommodations from sea containers for 32 people will be built by 2025, and Hohenfurch also plans module buildings. Ingenried relies on the Gasthof Sonne and a new building for a total of 40 people.
Peißenberg is busy renovating the Gasthaus Plötz for 50 residents, also renting an apartment building. In Penzberg, a thermal hall offers space for 100 people, further apartments and rooms are rented in the AWO senior center. In Polling and Raisting, module buildings shoot out like mushrooms, while Schongau rely on solid wood construction.
In the meantime, the district administrator of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen threatens the unruly communities with draconian measures. But Weilheim-Schongau is spared thanks to the solidarity cooperation, which is praised by Helmut Hartl from the district office. But the question remains: how long can the district last?
