Barrier -free access to Lake Starnberg: Refurbishment of the toilets planned!
A big step for inclusion: At the Ambach ambach ambach ambach on Lake Starnberg, access for people with disabilities will be improved in the coming year! Traudl Fischer, employee of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district office, presented the latest plans in the Committee on the Environment, Infrastructure and Tourism. The Greens' district parliamentary group had already made an application in September to ensure accessibility at the popular resort. "Inclusion and accessibility are central components of a modern society," said the Greens. The implementation of these measures is top priority!
renovation of the toilets in focus
The Greens criticized the existing ramp to the lake, which is not only unsuitable for wheelchair users, but also dangerous. A central arrangement of disabled parking spaces, sanitary facilities and entry aids is urgently necessary to ensure safe access. Fischer explained that since 2018 there has been a plan for general renovation that is gradually implemented. The renovation of two toilets and the improvement of the pedestrian and bicycle bridge at the "Buchscharner Sehirt" are at the top of the list.
But the financial situation is tense: with a budget of only 30,000 euros, no extensive construction work can be realized. The costs for additional work would be in the six -digit range, and the permits for further projects are a "water protection disaster" because the water surface belongs to the Starnberg district. Despite these challenges, district councilor Christine Mair (Greens) was optimistic: "We can live with this compromise", and withdrew the application to advance the renovation of the toilets.
