Forsthaus Klaushof in Bad Kissingen: Tradition meets a fresh wind!
Forsthaus Klaushof, 97688 Bad Kissingen, Deutschland - The forest house Klaushof in Bad Kissingen shines in new splendor! After a short closure, the traditional restaurant has opened its doors again and attracts guests with a fresh concept and regional delicacies. The couple Jan Kirchhof and Michaela Albert-Kirchhof, who have taken over the restaurant, promise to continue the long gastronomy tradition and at the same time set new accents.
The first days after the reopening on November 2, 2024 were a complete success! Kirchhof enthusiastically reports: "The weather played well, the demand in the beer garden was pretty good." The guests are curious about the new menu, which combines traditional Franconian dishes with modern influences. "Franconian has always been cooked here," says Kirchhof, who looks back on decades of experience in gastronomy. The dishes mainly come from regional production and hunting, and the card is updated regularly depending on the season.
a paradise for gourmets and nature lovers
The Forsthaus Klaushof is not only a culinary attraction, but also a popular destination for hikers and families. Right next door is the Klauswald wildlife park, where visitors can admire red deer, wild boars and even lynxes. In the forest house, guests can look forward to a diverse kitchen, ranging from hearty wild dishes to vegetarian and vegan options. Kirchhof is also planning exciting special events such as wine tastings and music evenings to enrich the gastronomic experience.
The return of the Klaushof forest house is a ray of hope in the catering scene of Bad Kissingen, especially after the closure of a bakery that has been in the city for over 85 years. The new tenants are ready to continue tradition and at the same time bring a fresh air to the kitchen. A visit is worth it!
