Future of the craft: master school Ebern shines with success!
The positive developments at the school were presented at the most recent association meeting of the master school of Ebern for carpentry, which took place on October 14, 2024. Headmaster PD Dr. Oliver Dünisch informed those present about current projects that were realized by schoolchildren and in cooperation with external partners. Particularly noteworthy is the planning of a kindergarten in Jesserndorf and the design of seating for the master school's auditorium. These projects not only strengthen the practical skills of the learners, but also show that the craft is equipped for the future.
Dünisch emphasized that the school can record an above-average interest among the learners. Around a third of the students come from Lower Franconia and Upper Franconia, which underlines the local importance of the facility. Another positive sign are the nine graduates who received the master prize of the Bavarian state government. "The lessons are strongly shaped by the project work," added the headmaster and found that the public interest in external projects such as kindergarten was very high.
Financial stability and future projects
The managing director of the special-purpose association, Armin Zankl, gave an overview of the finances. The budget year 2024 went on schedule and the annual balance sheet was positive. A special reason for joy is the unanimous adoption of the household for 2025, which is based on a volume of € 1,746,700. A resolution of € 105,110 enables the association levy to be left at the previous level.
Financing for the coming year is made up of various contributions: The district of Lower Franconia supports the school with € 473,100, the district of Haßberge with € 131,400, the city of Ebern with € 39,400 and the Schreiner trade association with € 5,100. District President Stefan Funk underlined the importance of the Ebern master school and praised the excellent reputation that she enjoys. This success was also underlined by purchases such as a new broadband grinding machine and the planned installation of a photovoltaic system that is to be realized next year.
The school's public relations work is also becoming increasingly professional, as the success of specialist articles in magazines, the 40th anniversary of the school and the open house. These measures strengthen the call of the master school as a modern training institution.
