On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday there was a spectacular incident in Mainaschaff: Unknown people blew up a cigarette machine on Mainparkstrasse and stole cigarettes and cash. The Aschaffenburg criminal police were alerted after a resident heard a loud bang at around 12:25 a.m. The perpetrator fled in an unknown direction, while the property damage is estimated at around 8,000 euros. Argument in front of the discotheque
At the same time, but in a different location, a dangerous altercation occurred on Friday evening in front of a discotheque in Aschaffenburg. An 18-year-old patron threatened a bouncer with a knife after being refused entry to the club. The reason: The young man had previously appeared negatively on several occasions. Despite an initial verbal argument, he returned just a few minutes later and attacked the 33-year-old security service employee. He was seriously injured in the hand in the attack and had to be treated in hospital. The security service was able to hold the attacker until the police arrived.
