In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday there was a spectacular incident in Mainaschaff: unknown people blew up a cigarette machine in Mainparkstrasse and stolen cigarettes and cash. The Aschaffenburg criminal police were alerted after a resident heard a loud bang around 00:25. An 18-year-old guest threatened a bouncer with a knife after he was denied access to the club. The reason: the young man had previously appeared negatively several times. Despite a first verbal argument, he returned only a few minutes later and attacked the 33-year-old employee of the security service. This was seriously injured in the attack and had to be treated in the hospital. The security service was able to record the attacker until the police arrived. By using pepper spray during the incident, several people also suffered eye irritation, which resulted in a great use of the emergency services. The police are now looking for witnesses and also asks for information or video recordings in order to better understand the exact crime.
