Wels: armed attack on Pizzeria - perpetrator lands behind bars!
A shocking attack on a pizzeria in Attang-Puchheim occurred in September last year when a 21-year-old Austrian threatened with a weapon and tried to open a slot machine. The spokesman for the state court Wels, Johannes Huber, reported that the accused was comprehensive. After the failed attempt to steal money, the perpetrator took a tablet, a cell phone and a bottle of whiskey with them and fled in the local owner's car. But his escape plan ended abruptly in an accident that led the police to arrest him. The court sentenced him to five and a half years in prison due to his previous crimes, as ooe.orf.at reported.
New President of the Regensburg Regional Court
In the meantime, there are innovations in the Bavarian judiciary: Bavarian Minister of Justice Georg Eisenreich appointed Alfred Huber as the new president of the Regensburg Regional Court, a position that he will start from April 1, 2024. Huber, who has had a long career in the Bavarian judiciary, follows Dr. Clemens Prokop, who retires. Huber started his career as a public prosecutor in Ansbach and worked through various positions at the local courts and public prosecutors in Nuremberg and Regensburg. Dr. Thomas Dickert, President of the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court, is convinced that Huber is ideal for the new role with his experience and leadership skills, such as justiz.bayern.de found.
