Fatal accident near Ansbach: pedestrian dies after collision!

A serious traffic accident occurred on Sunday, January 12, 2025, on the B 14 near Ansbach. A 33-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured in the incident. The accident occurred around 7:35 a.m. when a 19-year-old driver of a Toyota veered off the road to the right for unknown reasons.

The Toyota broke through a grass verge, drove onto a cycle/pedestrian path and hit the pedestrian after around 100 meters. Despite immediate medical attention, the pedestrian, who was taken to hospital, was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the Toyota was not physically injured in the incident. The Ansbach police station was on site and recorded the accident, supported by an expert on the orders of the public prosecutor. The B 14 was completely closed in both directions until around 11:00 a.m. to record the accident in Franconia reported.

A similar incident was reported on Friday evening, December 13, 2024, on the B 14 in Ansbach. A 76-year-old woman who had previously parked her car in the middle of the road due to a vehicle breakdown died in this accident. The woman left her Citroen to wait for a tow truck when she was hit by a Peugeot driving towards Oreichenbach. The 68-year-old driver of the Peugeot was also uninjured. The Ansbach police station took over the accident investigation and an accident expert was called in on the orders of the public prosecutor.
