Schuler's Biobakhaus: Surprising closure and large inventory auction!

The bankruptcy of Schuler's Biobakhaus is making waves in the Franconian bakery scene! The traditional chain from Dietenhofen has closed almost all of its branches and the inventory is now being auctioned off. The decades-long dream of an organic bakery has come to an abrupt end, and the fate of the employees now hangs in the air.

The unexpected closure of the bakery comes just a few months after the failed attempt to carry out self-administration insolvency proceedings. Managing director Günter Schuler, who only took over the traditional Held bakery in 2022, put everything on the “organic” card. Nevertheless, the branches in Dietenhofen, Ansbach, and other cities no longer remained viable. After the end of the insolvency proceedings, numerous locations such as in Zirndorf and Nuremberg were given into new hands, while the company itself only runs one café, the Krokant in Ansbach.

Auction of the inventory: bargains for bakery friends

Now it's time for bargain hunters! The over 500 individual items from the once thriving bakery's offerings have been auctioned off online. From coffee machines to industrial scales to cake rings and cooling cells – everything is included! The devices will be marketed via the restlos.com platform, and the auction can be visited until October 28, 2024. Some of the bakery equipment finds a new home, while Schuler's organic baking house disappears into the annals of bread history.

With vivid pictures and tempting prices, the final sales will be a real sensation! While the fate of the employees remains uncertain, the auction offers a final look at the once thriving Franconian bakery tradition. Where the smell of fresh bread once wafted, there is now the silence of a burnt-out dream.
