The game started with a bang: Thomas March brought the home side in the lead early, but Amberg quickly equalized. But the TEV was not put off and took the lead again when Felix Feuerreiter scored his first goal of the season. With another goal by Patrick Asselin, Miesbach went into the first break with a 3-2 lead.
