A driver caused a stir on the A6 near Nuremberg on Wednesday when she chugged along the motorway at a snail's pace of just 20 km/h. At around 6:30 p.m., the Middle Franconia operations center received several alarming reports about unsafe driving. The woman drove her vehicle in the left lane towards Amberg while the right front wheel was damaged - a dangerous maneuver on a three-lane highway!
It didn't take long for the Feucht traffic police to arrive and finally caught the lady on the A73. The officers were shocked when they discovered the reason for the shaky ride: the 49-year-old was clearly drunk! A breath alcohol test made it clear why the driver was driving at such a rapid speed at Olympic speeds - it showed a blood alcohol level of almost 1.4 per mille!
Driver's license lost - investigation into drunk driver
To ensure safety on the roads, the driver was ordered to have her blood taken and her driver's license confiscated. An investigation was initiated against her for drunk driving. The emergency services officers stand for safe roads, and this case once again shows how important it is to drive responsibly!
