Carnival season 2025: Fools are looking forward to a mega event in Ulm!

The colorful fools are in the starting blocks! The guilds of the Alemannic Narrenring (ANR) have been busy planning the next carnival festivities at the convention in Ochsenhausen-Reinstetten. The anticipation is huge: From February 7th to 9th, 2025, Ulm will be a stronghold of cheerfulness, impressive and lively, when more than 10,000 fools and over 50,000 visitors will conquer the streets. The city at the cathedral becomes a madhouse with an exciting mix of events, such as the magical Witches' Night, cheerful fool's parties in the large festival tent, a colorful children's parade, an atmospheric traditional evening and a spectacular fire show!

Honorary fool Helmut Eichler

It was particularly emotional when Helmut (Pinne) Eichler from Eberhardzell was honored, who was given the appropriate title of “Honorary Jester” by the ANR. This honors his tireless service as chief guild master in Upper Swabia and his lifelong commitment to customs. The ceremony moved many in attendance to tears and demonstrated the strong solidarity within the foolish community!

Since its founding in 1969, the ANR has not only brought together 28,000 active carnival enthusiasts, but has also promoted the cultivation of the cheerful carnival culture in the region. Under the leadership of President Markus Stark, the guilds follow the example of Alexander Wild, Jürgen Hanser and Markus Kast, the senior guild masters of the three large regional groups. His shoes at the forefront are a clear step towards an unforgettable festival in Ulm that combines traditional customs with an exposed joie de vivre.
