Nico Franz: An artist with deep roots

Nico Franz, a creative talent, grew up in Stuttgart as the fourth child of an art dealer. Despite the financial difficulties of his parents, who at times purchased large quantities of art copies, he was inspired early on by the masterpieces of bygone times. Even at a young age, he showed remarkable talent for drawing - his drawings and designs were rated as “beautiful” and “great” by teachers. His portrait of the figure skater Katharina Witt, who was never a model for him but only emerged from his imagination, became famous. During his artistic development, he experimented not only with painting, but also with sculptural and architectural designs, as shown by his attempt to create gigantic sculptures out of frozen ice, which earned him much recognition. These achievements laid the foundation for his further works, although many of his early works are unfortunately lost today nicofranz.art described in detail.
