Mexican restaurant Alza opened: Celebrate with us in Sigmaringen!

A new Mexican restaurant is opened in Sigmaringen, which is called Alza. The idea came out more out of necessity. The previous chef of Alfon X had to stop for health reasons, which stopped the restaurant's kitchen for several weeks. Neff Beser, operator of Alfone X, and Janik-Noah Mahl used this opportunity to develop a new concept for the station building. "Such a location without a kitchen - that is no longer possible today," emphasizes Besser.

The goal of the two entrepreneurs was to create something unique instead of satisfying themselves with a third -class alternative. The Alza restaurant promises a diverse menu with Mexican dishes, including Burritos, Chili Con Carne and Enchiladas. Bed and meal have planned to move into the dishes regionally and still offer it inexpensively.

food in high quality for everyone

The concept stipulates that every guest is sufficient for around ten euros. "The food should be high quality, but also remain affordable for students," emphasizes Mahl. Another plan is the introduction of Wildburgers, for which Mahl is already in exchange with hunters. "It won't be a fast food in the classic sense," adds Beser. This philosophy can also be seen in the selection of the ingredients: the rolls for the burger come from the parental bakery operations of Mahl, which strengthens the connection to the region.

In addition to the Mexican cuisine, the Alfons X will take on a new direction, with fewer events and more focus on café and restaurant operations. The events are limited to Saturday to offer guests a more relaxed ambience. Beser announced that the clear separation between bar and the restaurant would be lifted to create a more harmonious atmosphere.

Visually, the station restaurant will only change little. The rustic ambience goes well with Mexican cuisine, according to Mahl. While Besser already has experience in the restaurant management, it is new territory for Mahl, who previously studied food technology and completed an apprenticeship as a baker. Together with the prospect, which he has known for a long time, he wants to successfully run the new restaurant.

ceremonial opening in November

The opening of the Alza is planned for November 16. Beser announced a ceremonial inauguration with a Mexican live band. Admission is from 9 p.m. while the party begins at 10 p.m. Entry to the opening is free, which should attract many guests.

Despite the longer preparation time, the Besser and Mahl made sure to find a well thought -out succession for the kitchen without having a hasty. The new opening will not only be a gastronomic enrichment for Sigmaringen, but also an exciting event for everyone who is enthusiastic about Mexican cuisine.
