Drama in Heddesheim! A walker discovered a dangerous tank shell from the Second World War in a field this Sunday. The explosive surprise was found in the “Gewann Becherbruch”, near the K4236 and the L631, and immediately reported to the police. A shock for the residents because the grenade could detonate at any time!
The dangerous cargo was reported to the authorities around 10 a.m. Just an hour later, the dirt roads were closed within a safety radius of 150 meters to protect the population. At 2:57 p.m. the time had come: the grenade was exploded and a nearby district road was even closed for three minutes.
