New OB Blümcke: Salary of 11,800 euros causes excitement!
Friedrichshafen, Deutschland - The countdown runs for Simon Blümcke, the new mayor of Friedrichshafen! He will take office on December 1st, but a hot topic is still up for debate: his salary! The Finance and Administrative Committee has decided to classify Blümcke into grade B 8, which ensures a monthly income of almost 11,800 euros plus allowances. But not all councils are thrilled - some have "abdominal pain" in this decision!
The councils had the opportunity to classify blücke into the lower grade B 7, but the administration argued that the special requirements in Friedrichshafen justify a higher classification. "The city has many important projects and urban investments that strongly involve the mayor," said the session template. This means that Blümcke not only receives an impressive salary, but also a tax -free service allowance of around 1,600 euros per month. And that's not all: on November 1st, his salary is expected to increase by 200 euros, followed by a further increase by five percent in February!
supervisory board mandate and doubts
But the salary is not the only source of income for flower. Around 280,000 euros per year from supervisory board mandates, especially at ZF and Zeppelin, also flow into his cash register. However, he can only keep 9,600 euros from it, the rest goes to the city treasury. While the majority of the committee voted for the B 8 classification, AfD Councilor Christoph Högel expressed concerns: "Wouldn't it make sense to start with B 7?" He advocated evaluating Blümcke after two years and then considering a salary increase. Mayor Dieter Stauber countered that the salary had no reward character and applies to the entire term of office.
The final decision on Blümckes Salary will be made on November 18 in the local council. A hot topic that heats the minds!
