There are a variety of exciting events coming up in Paderborn on October 19, 2024, offering a varied program for both locals and visitors. From astronomical discoveries to cultural performances, there is something for everyone.

The public observatory in Schloß Neuhaus opens the day with a special astronomy day that focuses intensively on the comet C/2023 A3, the ringed planet Saturn and the moon, which is located near the Pleiades. Visitors can expect a lecture by Wolfgang Dzieran, which begins at 5 p.m. and offers fascinating insights into the world of comets. Admission is free, which makes this event particularly attractive.

Diverse cultural offerings

At the same time, a puppet theater is being performed in the alternative cultural workshop in Paderborn, which is entitled “The devil is on the loose in Autumn Libori”. Here the audience can expect a wild adventure with Kasper and the fortune teller Elsbeth, who shakes up the program with an old magic book. The performance starts at 4 p.m. and is aimed at a young audience aged 3 and over. Entry is 6 euros per person.

An October party awaits participants in Ovenhausen from 6 p.m., where DJ Toto will ensure a good atmosphere. For 30 euros per person there is a delicious buffet including entry; If you just want to dance, you pay 8 euros. Reservations are possible by calling 05278-889.

For fans of live music, there is a very special event on the program at 7 p.m. in Bad Wünnenberg. The Original Magic Forest Chapel is celebrating its fifth anniversary and is offering a concert with a large Egerländer line-up. Tickets are available in advance for 15 euros or at the box office for 18 euros. Admission starts at 6 p.m.

At the same time, cabaret artist Andrea Volk will perform in the village community center in Brenkhausen at 7 p.m. She brings her humorous Ruhrpott charm with her and is sure to get a lot of laughs on her side. Tickets can be purchased in advance for 16 euros or at the box office for 18 euros.

Another highlight is Maria Vollmer's appearance at the Kulturforum in Warburg at 8 p.m. She delights with a mix of comedy, dance and musicals, captivating the audience with her refreshing style and joy of life. Entry costs 18 euros, children up to 12 years have free entry.

The evening ends with a party at the Studio dance hall in Paderborn from 9 p.m. With cool drinks and dancing, this is the ideal opportunity to celebrate and meet new people.

Additional attractions

For dinosaur fans there is also the “Dinoborn” campaign, which runs from September 14th to October 20th, 2024. Life-sized dinosaurs can be admired in various parts of Paderborn. The Paderborn advertising association, which is celebrating its 40th birthday this year, hopes to attract many visitors.

Last but not least, an exhibition with the artists Eva Wilcke and Marcel Zorn will take place at the Kunstverein Paderborn. Under the title “As if nothing were,” they will present their unique works, which are characterized by various materials and techniques, from October 19th to November 17th, 2024.
