New McDonald's branch in Linz: Modern fast food experience for everyone!

In Linz, the new McDonald's branch in Kleinmünchen opened its doors on December 17, 2024 and primarily attracts drivers. The restaurant wants to significantly reduce waiting times with an innovative double drive-in that offers two entrances for quicker ordering. The location at Wiener Straße 439 was built in just five months and is located in close proximity to the Traun Bridge, making it an ideal meeting point for fast food lovers, such as kosmo.at reported.

Modern design and new workplaces

For the first time in Austria, the restaurant uses the “Human Comfort” design, which combines warm and modern elements with a minimalist approach. Offering a comfortable fast food experience with ten large self-service ordering displays and 182 seats, including 52 on the patio. The opening has created around 50 new jobs, which McDonald's highlights as a positive sign for the region. While the beginning of the opening was mostly positive, there were also some critical voices from residents. Armin Kraml in particular expressed concerns about local vegetation, as some trees and bushes were at risk from the construction project linzwiki.at notes.

Despite these concerns, the new branch is expected to be a popular destination in Linz as it aims to appeal to both drivers and visitors on foot. The combination of modern design and efficient ordering could quickly make the outlet a favorite of fast food fans in the region.
