NÖVOG brings new passenger apps: route planning and booking made easy!

On November 15th, on the occasion of the Lower Austrian national holiday Leopoldi, the new NÖVOG passenger apps will be presented to the public. These innovative technologies include the route planner leopoldi.info and the booking app poldi, which are designed for on-demand transport. State Transport Councilor Udo Landbauer emphasizes the immense importance of these offers for the people of Lower Austria. NÖVOG has been responsible for planning, ordering and processing regional bus and on-demand transport in the region for over a year.

The leopoldi regional buses and shared taxis have been on the road on behalf of NÖVOG for several weeks. From November 15, 2025, several free offers will be available to users. This includes leopoldi.info, a route planner that offers comprehensive information on buses, trains, on-demand transport, bicycles and walking. The app provides real-time information and current traffic reports and is accessible for smartphones and tablets (both iOS and Android) as well as online. The poldi booking app makes it easier to order and pay for shared call taxis, which can also be requested by phone at 0800 / 22 23 22.

Ease of use in focus

Users of the previous version VOR Flex App automatically receive the poldi app through an update. The route planner also shows deviations from the timetable, which makes planning trips much easier. On the homepage www.leopoldi.info All NÖVOG offers for regional bus and on-demand transport are listed in detail. Managing Directors Wolfgang Schroll and Michael Hasenöhrl emphasize the user-friendliness of the new apps, which represent a valuable resource for the local population.

In another area, the Norwegian state-owned company Equinor ASA is drawing conclusions from the failed offshore wind sector in Vietnam. The company is closing its Hanoi office as part of a rebalancing of its portfolio. Political unrest and development difficulties in Vietnam have led to this withdrawal. Equinor has already abandoned numerous fossil fuel projects to focus on renewable energy. Offshore wind projects in Vietnam are facing legal uncertainties, which has also led Danish company Ørsted A/S to pause its plans in the sector.

Despite ambitious targets to install 6 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030, the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) sees significant challenges. To date, Vietnam has only initiated intertidal wind projects near the coast and no true offshore wind projects.
