Wacker Innsbruck is testing three young talents from the Bayern network!
FC Wacker Innsbruck is preparing intensively for the upcoming challenges in the third division. Two weeks ago the team was a guest at FC Bayern Munich to take part in a multi-day tournament between international partner clubs. This event brought together various clubs such as Racing Montevideo from South America, the Gambinos from Africa, Queens Park Rangers from England and Grasshopper Club Zurich from Switzerland. The Wacker delegation, consisting of coach Sebastian Siller, sports director Jakob Griesebner and president Hannes Rauch, used the opportunity to scout talent and gain new impulses for the team.
During the tournament, attention was particularly drawn to three promising players. The Czech center forward Matej Kvacek from FK Pardubice is in focus because Wacker Innsbruck has been interested in him for a long time. The cooperation with FC Bayern Munich enabled him to take part in a trial training session, which he can now take part in in Innsbruck. There are also 17-year-old central defender Mauro Marichal González and 19-year-old center forward Anderson Rodríguez, both from Racing Club de Montevideo.
Test match against Grasshoppers Zurich
The three young talents are now being tested in training, with the trio's first appearance on Tuesday in a friendly against Grasshopper Club Zurich. This club is also one of the partners in the FC Bayern network. The Wacker players are entitled to a high level of development because all three players are still under 19 years old and have great potential.
The collaboration between Wacker Innsbruck and FC Bayern Munich represents a significant step in the club's strategic development. Such partnerships open up the opportunity to promote talented players from different countries and at the same time carry out a valuable exchange in football.
International responsibility in football
In the context of international relations, the German Football Association (DFB) also advocates for socio-political responsibility. The DFB has been committed to development projects in and through football for decades, including initiatives that address global social challenges such as human rights, gender equality, education and health. An example of this is the leadership workshop “Future Leaders in Football”, which addresses young aspiring leaders, especially women. In theory, participants should develop skills to overcome challenges in sport and society.
Since its introduction, 90 people from 37 nations have taken part with the aim of developing methodological, cultural and social skills. To date, workshops have been held in various cities around the world, including Amman, Doha, Durres and Berlin, and the findings have been shared with around 25 football associations worldwide.
This shows that football is not just a sport, but also an important medium for promoting social responsibility and international understanding. Through its partnership with FC Bayern Munich and participation in such availabilities, FC Wacker Innsbruck is well positioned to be successful in the third division.

In summary, it shows that FC Wacker Innsbruck is actively involved in shaping the future of football and creates opportunities for talent from all over the world in order to promote and integrate them.
