In the middle of crisis times and rapidly increasing living costs, the socio -political agenda in Vienna became the target of criticism. Judith Pühringer, the party leader of the Greens Vienna, described the plans of FPÖ and ÖVP as "irresponsible and short -sighted" because they would be saved on the back of the poorer while social security is already on the brink. According to the Looks of negotiations Cuts could result in the weakest in society.

Almost every fifth child in Austria is threatened by poverty. Viktoria Spielmann, social spokeswoman for the Green Vienna, warns that the cuts would take important chances to the children, while 1.2 million people are affected by poverty. This declining development not only endangers the educational opportunities of these children, but also exacerates social inequalities. "Instead of offering these children chances of a better future, they take important support," continued Spielmann. "Especially in times of crisis, we have to support people who are particularly at risk," adds Pühringer, playing on the critical role of social benefits as the last security network.

mastering social challenges

In addition to the social difficulties, urgent questions about living situation and education in the city come up, as Pühringer noticed in their speech. It emphasizes the need to address these challenges directly and find concrete solutions. As you and Spielmann clarify, it is crucial that the government sets the right priorities in the current crisis and does not save at the wrong end. "People now need support so as not to slip into social homelessness," explains Pühringer. The social peace and the future of society depend on these decisions that must now be made.
