Creative minds needed: competition transforms Kornhaus into a workshop of the future!

An exciting project to redesign the former Kornhaus site is being started in Höxter. The regional movement, the Biolandhof Engemann and the OWL University of Technology are working together on a model project that combines regional agriculture, sustainable food production and education. In a competition, advanced students were given the chance to design innovative concepts for this area, which focuses on both the processing of regional products and the creation of educational centers. The requirements are diverse and also include climate protection measures, such as westfalen-blatt.de reported.

Creative solutions and award ceremony

An independent jury evaluates the submitted projects based on criteria such as innovative content and future viability in terms of climate resilience. After all, prize money was donated by the United Volksbank for the competition. The selection of the best designs will be announced on the “Day of the Regions” during Warburg October Week, followed by an exhibition of the work that will later be shown in Borgentreich. This gives students the opportunity to present their creative approaches to a broad public and work towards the creation of an organic value creation center.
