IMC Krems launches groundbreaking partnership with King Saud University!
The IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems has taken a revolutionary step in international education! In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Memorandum of Understanding with the prestigious King Saud University (KSU) was activated, ushering in a new era in tourism education and research. “The partnership with King Saud University is an important step in the international development of IMC Krems,” said Heinz Boyer, chairman of the supervisory board and founder of IMC Krems. This collaboration enables a unique 3+1 bachelor's program in Tourism Management, in which students study for three years at KSU and one year at IMC Krems. By the way, through this cooperation, graduates receive degrees from both institutions - a real competitive advantage on the global market!
Udo Brändle, Managing Director of IMC Krems, adds: “With this partnership, we are setting a new standard in international tourism training.” The hotel management diploma, sponsored jointly with the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, will create additional practice-oriented training opportunities, also in Austria, to give students insights into European tourism and hospitality culture. A highlight was the ceremonial opening of the KSU-IMC Tourism and Hospitality Hub. This platform will act as a central hub for educational initiatives and joint research projects to take training in the industry to a new level, such as ots.at reported.
The role of KSU in Saudi education
King Saud University, founded in 1957, enjoys an excellent reputation in Saudi Arabia with over 40,000 students and more than 4,000 faculty members. Its College of Tourism plays a key role in the development of the Saudi tourism sector, which is central to Vision 2030. The cooperation between IMC Krems and KSU not only strengthens the global position of both institutions, but also plays a crucial role in increasing the quality of training in the field of tourism. This is particularly important in an increasingly globalized world where companies must be strategically able to compete across national borders imc.ac.at explained.
