Advent wreaths from Gießhübl: Tradition meets creative student manuscript!
The technical school Gießhübl is all about festive preparations: In the past few weeks, school students have enthusiastically made adventurous wreaths to celebrate the upcoming Christmas season. As part of a solemn act, director Thomas Krenn presented two of these lovingly designed wreaths to Bildungsrätin Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister. This emphasized the cultural importance of the Advent wreath, which symbolizes the coming of the "light of the world" with its four candles. "The Advent Kranez brings rest and reflection to the hectic pre-Christmas period," continues Teschl-Hofmeister, while she praised the manual skill of the students, who can gain valuable experience through this tradition, such as OTS reported.
a new wind at the top
The newly appointed director Krenn, who has been working as a specialist teacher at the Gießhübl technical school for 32 years, is motivated and visionary. He took over the management of the school on July 1, 2024 and wants to further develop the institution and optimize the teaching and research systems. "We are the engine of the region here, and our students should be prepared for the challenges of their professions as best as possible," explains Krenn. The educational institution under his leadership is fine: the number of students is increasing, and a multi -layered course offer attracts interested parties. Krenn follows his predecessor Johannes Reiterlehner and wants to advance his creations through a respectful school climate and close cooperation with regional actors, such as Noe emphasized.
With the combination of traditional values and modern educational approaches, the Gießhübl technical school is well positioned in order to continue to consolidate its role as a central player in agricultural education in the future.
