Inclusion initiatives: Zero Project Conference starts in Vienna!
The Zero Project Conference 2025 is just around the corner and promises to become an important event in the area of inclusive employment and IT. At the opening event on March 4, 2025 in the Austrian Parliament, remarkable initiatives are presented that focus on diversity and inclusion. National Council President Walter Rosenkranz and Martin Essl, founder of the Zero Project, opened the conference, followed by a keynote by the leading international activist Caroline Casey, founder of "The Valuable 500". Representatives of various political groups will present their successfully implemented projects, including Christian Ragger (FPÖ) with "Chance B", a program for the qualification of educational disadvantage, and Heike Eder (ÖVP), who reports about innovative technologies who support people with disabilities.
As reports the official page of the Zero Project ( zeroProject.org ), the conference will take place from March 5th to 7th in Vienna and offer numerous workshops and presentations on various topics of accessibility. This includes sessions to improve web accessibility, technological innovations to support sign language and the development of inclusive employment practices. As part of the event, the “Financial Inclusion Award 2022” from Unicredit Bank Austria is also awarded, another step to promote the financial integration of people with disabilities.
The ZeroProject Conference thus combines leading global actors and gives the participants the opportunity to explore innovative solutions and proven practices that can shape an inclusive future. It is expected that representatives from over 45 countries exchange their ideas and successes to create barrier -free environments, which means that the network for inclusion and innovation can continue to grow, as was already evident in the previous conferences.
