The green bunker: Hamburg's new landmark with a breathtaking view!

The anti -aircraft bunker on Feldstraße in Hamburg, once a dark witness of the Second World War, has turned into a unique landmark. Previously known as a gray block, the building now described as a "green bunker" with its newly added five floors 58 meters high into the sky. The redesign was completed in the summer of 2024 and not only offers visitors a breathtaking view of the city, but also access to a green park on the roof, which is over 1400 square meters. Many plants bloom on the former concrete walls and create a green oasis in the urban area, like Rereere reporter

The roof garden not only offers relaxation, but also spectacular views of sights such as the Michel and the Elbphilharmonie. Visitors can hike along a 560 meter long "bunker path", which circulates the planted areas. People with restrictions also have access with an elevator, but accompaniment to the roof garden is currently necessary. On the lower floors of the building are the ballroom, a stylish tower room for private celebrations and a hall for exhibitions, and the reverb by Hard Rock Hotel with 134 rooms also offers the guests both cityscapes and a view of the roof garden, such as imbunker.com emphasized.

a new hotspot in Hamburg

The concept combines historical architecture with modern elements and thus attracts numerous tourists and locals. The "La Sala" restaurant and the "Karo & Paul" bar also invite you to linger, while the ambience invites you to relax in the roof garden. Access to the roof garden is free, but especially at the weekend, there can be waiting times, since only 2000 people are allowed to enter the bunker at the same time. The opening times are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in summer and shorten themselves in the winter months.
