Shock on the A1: 81-year-old dies after horror accident!

A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, on the A1 motorway near Birmenstorf. An 81-year-old driver lost control of his Dodge for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to roll over fatally. The car veered off the road to the right, hit an electrical box and overturned. When the police and emergency services arrived, the driver was no longer responsive and, despite immediate resuscitation measures, he died at the scene of the accident. His 79-year-old passenger only suffered minor injuries, while the car and the electrical box sustained significant damage. Distraction on the tracks

On the same day there was another incident near Mattersburg where a driver fell asleep while driving. His vehicle had an accident when it hit an embankment and finally stopped on the tracks of the Mattersburg Railway. Fortunately, the driver was not injured in this incident.
