An 81-year-old driver lost control of his Dodge for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to roll over fatally. The car veered off the road to the right, hit an electrical box and overturned. When the police and emergency services arrived, the driver was no longer responsive and, despite immediate resuscitation measures, he died at the scene of the accident. His 79-year-old passenger only suffered minor injuries, while the car and the electrical box sustained significant damage. Initial indications indicate that a medical problem in the driver could have been the cause of the loss of control, as the Aargau cantonal police stated in their statement Police ticker was reported.

Distraction on the tracks

On the same day there was another incident near Mattersburg where a driver fell asleep while driving. His vehicle had an accident when it hit an embankment and finally stopped on the tracks of the Mattersburg Railway. Fortunately, the driver was not injured in this incident. The railway line between Mattersburg and Bad Sauerbrunn was temporarily interrupted, but was reopened at around 7:00 a.m. after the car was safely transported away ORF Burgenland reported.
