Timetable change 2023: New connections for Weser-Ems train drivers!

On Sunday, December 15th, there is an important timetable change at the Northwest Railway! This change affects all European rail traffic companies and brings a breath of fresh air to the Weser-Ems network. The three lines RE 18, RB 58 and RB 59 experience only minor but important adjustments that commuters and travelers should have in view!

for line RE 18, which runs between Wilhelmshaven and Osnabrück Hbf, there is exciting news! As of now, there will be an additional connection in the morning rush hour: the train NWB 75298 starts at 4:29 a.m. in Oldenburg (Oldb) Hbf and reaches Osnabrück Hbf at 05:58 a.m. from Monday to Friday. Another additional trip is also offered: NWB 75351 leaves Cloppenburg at 05:26 and arrives at 05:59 in Oldenburg (Oldb) Hbf (Monday to Saturday). All train connections are also provided with new train numbers. ATTENTION: Due to the planned construction work of the Deutsche Bahn between Oldenburg (Oldb) Hbf and Cloppenburg, it will be from July 2nd. Come to timetable adjustments until 13.08.2025!

The RB 58, which drives from Bremen Hbf to Osnabrück Hbf, is also slightly adjusted. There are small changes in travel time for some connections that can be a maximum of two minutes. Here too, all trains receive new numbers. The RB 59, which runs between Esens (Ostfriesl) and Wilhelmshaven, remains largely unchanged.
